Pellys LLP support Isabel Hospice by taking part in their forthcoming Will Clinic.
The Will Clinic will be open from 10 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on 23 April at the Charis Centre in Bishop's Stortford.
Local lawyers in Bishop's Stortford will be ready and waiting to speak with visitors between 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m at the Charis Centre situated in Water Lane. The
free 15 minute session is open to members of the public who would welcome the opportunity to discuss their existing Will or to find out how to go about making a Will in order to safeguard their families by making certain that their wishes are carried out after their death.
Although there is no charge for each appointment the charity would be grateful for a donation to be made to the Hospice in return for the free advice.
Kiri O'Connell of Pellys said "I think this is going to prove to be a very popular event and I believe that it is advisable to pre-book an appointment to avoid disappointment, although I will, of course, try to make sure that I speak with anyone who turns up during my allocated timings of between 12 noon and 2.00 p.m.
Further, I am delighted to be participating in May's Newsletter "Care News" by answering questions posed by members of the general public regarding leaving gifts in Wills."
Pellys staff are keen fundraisers and also during the month of May they will take part in the Hospice's "Bring £1 to Work Day". This involves every member of staff bringing £1 to work to donate to the hospice. Alongside this they will be organising a raffle of prizes up to the value of £1 per item, but
with a twist!............watch this space.
Raising money in this way will help the hospice to continue to provide a free service to the local community in East Herts. Isabel Hospice staff and volunteers care for local people living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. They also provide much needed support to families and friends caring for the patients and all those around them. Founded in 1982, the Hospice offers a complete service through its team of Community Nurse Specialists, a Day Hospice, three satellite Day Hospices (Thorley, Hoddesdon and Waltham Cross), Hospice at Home, Family support Service and in-patient Hospice.
To provide the service annually costs just under £4m, of which £1.3m is received from the NHS, thus a shortfall of £2.6m is needed to be rasied every single year. Please help if you can.
