Community Engagement

Central to Pellys Solicitors' ethos is our involvement in local community and we are proud to support local clubs and organisations. Our solicitors, lawyers and administrators all live local to the Pellys branch in which they are based so, aside from our official company sponsorship of community projects, there is a lot of engagement on a personal level.

For example, our Head of Family & Matrimonial, Tariq Ahmad, is an England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) level 2 qualified coach and runs the Under 11’s team at Biggleswade Town Cricket Club. This is something Tariq is very passionate about and does week in, week out.

"A sense of community has always run strong in our firm" Tariq explains, "and we love helping to make our area a great place to live. It's also nice to be able to engage with both personal and business clients outside of our normal workplace environment. Ultimately, their community is our community and it's great to be able to contribute in a positive way."

As a firm, Pellys sponsor Saffron Walden Cricket Club, Saffron Walden Rugby Club, Saffron Walden Golf Club and Bishops Stortford FC. We're not just involved in sport though. We also support Saffron Walden Symphony Orchestra, 8 Day Weekend (a Saffron Walden community event) and REAL - the Ethan Rees Linwood Memorial Fund (a North-West Essex children's charity).
