Our past

Pellys Solicitors have been serving the legal needs of your community since 1971.

The young firm quickly expanded to the extent that, by the early 1980’s, it had five office locations in Bishops Stortford before eventually moving into a single, much larger office at Sworders Court in North Street in 1987. After a brief spell at The Old Monastery, Pellys returned to Sworders Court where we were based until a recent move to purpose built, modern offices at 18 The Causeway. A second office was opened in Saffron Walden in 2005, marking the start of a new era of expansion and evolution. We also opened our Biggleswade office in Sept 2020.

“We really appreciate all the people who took the time and trouble to come and see us.

I suppose in a perverse way it’s a good thing we are not in regular contact as it shows we are not doing too much wrong on the HR front. Regardless of that fact, it is very important to me personally that I can trust the network of support services we need to help run our business and Pelly’s certainly falls into that category.”
